Classroom Course Introduction
The IEMA Environmental Awareness training teaches individuals how they are able to reduce their impact on the environment. It provides a basic introduction to core environmental issues. There are six modules which cover topics such as:
- Natural cycles and life support systems
- Discovering what is going wrong
- How to improve sustainable developments
- The impact business has on the environment
- How delegates can help
All of the delegates will leave the course with raised awareness into environmental issues, the basic science and philosophies that make the basis of environmental sustainability. The candidates will also be able to identify any environmental issues at work.

Who is the IEMA Environmental Awareness course aimed towards?
Anyone can take this course providing they have an interest or a need to be trained in basic awareness of environmental issues.
Which Examination Body is the Training Accredited by?
Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)
Will I Gain a Recognised Environmental Awareness qualification?
This course is aimed towards providing a basic introduction to the core environmental issues and can be applied to both the home and in the workplace. Examinations are optional and recognised and awarded by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
What is the Duration of the Course?
The course and duration can be tailored to meet the demands and needs of the delegates.
How Will the Training be assessed?
Once delegates have completed the training they will need to make a commitment to reducing their personal impact on the environment both at home and at work. An examination is option and can be requested by the employers. All successful candidates will receive an Environmental Awareness Certificate.
