E-learning Course Introduction

The IOSH Working Safely e-learning course teaches the very basics in health and safety, ideal for new employees or any workers that have not received any previous training. The course is provided online through e-learning, and all candidates will be provided with all the information and materials they need in order to pass the course.

There are five core modules. On module one you will be provided with information regarding the course and learn why it is important to work safely. Module two moves on to defining hazards in the workplace, and moves on to how to recognise risk and the principles of risk assessment.

During module three the focus is placed on identifying hazards and focuses on eighteen of the most common workplace hazards, how they often come about and how to help reduce the risks caused by these hazards. Module four provides the skills needed to help improve safety performance. You’ll learn about safe methods of work, safety signs, first aid and emergency procedures and how to report incidents. Finally module five focuses on protecting the environment and how industry and individuals can help to reduce pollution.

Any one is able to attend this course. It is suited to any person working in any sector as it provides basic health and safety knowledge.

The Working Safely Award is awarded by the IOSH, the chartered body for health and safety professionals. This is a recognised qualification which would benefit anyone looking to improve their CV.

IOSH Working Safely Elearning Course Duration

This is an e-learning course which provides six to eight hours of training. Each candidate is required to complete the course within a generous time frame of three to six months, this can vary from one training provider to the next and extensions are not awarded. You can finish the course within one day or six months depending on the time you have available. This course is also available in a classroom setting.

Assessment and Success

When you successfully complete the course you will be awarded with an IOSH Working Safely certificate.
